It is a sense of atmosphere that inspires me to paint the changing seasons and moods of the Sussex and Cornish landscapes that I love . The rich and varied colour combinations and the interplay of colour and light lends itself beautifully to the endlesss possibilities and fluidity of the watercolour washes. 

My more recent work has been concerned with exploring the wonderful qualities of this medium on specially prepared canvases and boards giving me even more opportunity to fully explore this expressive and exciting medium.
